Privacy Policy & Zero-Data Commitment

Complete transparency regarding our client-side processing architecture, cookie usage, Google AdSense compliance, and your global data rights.

Last Updated: September 2026

At Khalasna (accessible from https://khalasna.online), your privacy is not merely a legal disclaimer—it is the foundational engineering principle of our platform.

Our core operational philosophy is simple: we cannot lose, leak, sell, or compromise data that we never receive in the first place.

This Privacy Policy outlines how Khalasna handles information when you visit our website, our strict zero-storage architecture for user files, our usage of cookies (including Google AdSense and DoubleClick), and your rights under global data protection regulations.

11. The Zero-Storage Commitment: Local Client-Side Processing

Unlike traditional file conversion websites, Khalasna does not upload your files, images, PDFs, text, or data inputs to remote web servers. When you drop a PDF into our merger, convert an image format, format JSON, or compute financial formulas, all binary reading and algorithmic execution occur strictly within your browser's local memory (RAM) utilizing JavaScript, WebAssembly, and local browser APIs. When you close the browser tab or clear the tool workspace, your data is instantly purged from memory. We do not maintain server-side temp directories, we do not store file copies, and our staff cannot view your content under any circumstances.

22. Google AdSense & DoubleClick DART Cookies

Khalasna uses Google AdSense to serve advertisements when you visit our website. Google, as a third-party advertising vendor, uses cookies to serve ads on our site. Google's use of advertising cookies (such as the DoubleClick DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to our users based on their visit to our site and/or other sites on the Internet.

Users may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://www.google.com/settings/ads). Alternatively, you can opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance (EDAA) consumer choice portal at https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/.

33. Log Files & Anonymous Technical Diagnostics

Like almost all standard web hosting infrastructures, Khalasna's web servers record standard HTTP request logs. These logs contain basic technical telemetry such as IP addresses (anonymized where required by law), browser user agent strings, referring/exit URLs, platform types, and date/time stamps. This telemetry is used strictly for server health monitoring, DDoS mitigation, and aggregate traffic analysis. Log files are never linked to personal identities or tool activity.

44. Local Storage and Client Preferences

Khalasna may store non-sensitive configuration keys in your browser's local HTML5 storage (LocalStorage) or SessionStorage. This includes your theme preference (dark or light mode), language selection (English or Arabic), or temporary in-progress notes created within the offline Notes or Todo utilities. This data resides solely on your physical device and is never transmitted over the internet.

55. Compliance with GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation)

Under the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation EU 2016/679), users in the European Economic Area (EEA) have specific rights regarding their personal data, including the right to access, rectify, restrict, or erase personal data, and the right to data portability. Because Khalasna does not store personal records, user accounts, or uploaded files, we maintain no database of personal documents to access, erase, or transfer. For any questions regarding cookie consents or telemetry, please contact our Data Protection Officer.

66. Compliance with CCPA / CPRA (California Privacy Rights)

Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request deletion, and opt out of the sale or sharing of their personal information. Khalasna does NOT sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We do not sell consumer data under any statutory definition.

77. Children's Online Privacy Protection (COPPA)

Khalasna does not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information from children under the age of 13. All utility operations run anonymously without requiring registration or identity verification. If a parent or guardian believes that a child has provided personally identifiable information to us, please contact us immediately, and we will make every effort to delete such information promptly.
